School Council held their second tuckshop of the year today and it had a Christmas theme with some Christmas chocolate and treats. Thank you to everyone who came along and bought something for their break. They made a very impressive £300 profit and are looking forward to their next tuckshop in February. Special thanks to our PTA members who helped out today.
A big ‘well done’ to our P1-4 pupils who led us in a fantastic night in Edenderry Presbyterian Church on Wednesday evening. Through readings and song the children reminded us of the Christmas story. Everyone did extremely well in front of a packed church. Well done too to our musicians and choir who performed beautifully.
This was also a special evening as we celebrated 50 years of Bocombra Primary School. We enjoyed seeing some pictures of our school through the years. This video is available to view in the Video Resource Centre of our website.
The evening concluded as we recognised and thanked Mrs Taylor for 38 years of dedicated service to our school. On behalf of the parents and friends, we were able to present Mrs Taylor with a gift to acknowledge her love, care and commitment to the pupils in Bocombra. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this gift.
A huge ‘Thank you’ to everyone who made this night a great success.
Today our cross country team took part in Round 2 of Flahavan’s Primary School cross country event at Lurgan Park. It was a tough and very muddy course but all runners gave their best effort and we had some excellent performances. Special mention to Anna who came first in the girls race and to Emily H who, despite losing her trainer half way through the race, continued to run in one shoe and a sock and finished very well!
Huge thanks to all the parents, grandparents, friends and siblings who came along to help cheer our runners on - your support is always greatly appreciated.
A huge thanks to our PTA and staff for organising a super ‘Santa Express’. Tickets were sold out in advance and children, parents, grandparents and friends had a great evening. Some of the activities we enjoyed included making reindeer food, listening to Mrs Claus tell a story, a ride in Santa’s sleigh before visiting Santa himself.
Thank you to everyone involved for a great night.
Today the A2 PE students hosted a local cross country event at Portadown College and our cross country team enjoyed taking part. Despite some very cold and frosty conditions, our runners all performed exceptionally well and we came away with some brilliant results. Special mention to Anna who came 2nd girl in the main race. The girls’ team came 3rd overall and the boys’ team came 4th overall. Huge congratulations to Erin and Abbie who came 5th and 6th respectively out of the the girls fun runners and Matthew R and Harry who came 6th and 7th respectively out of the boys fun runners.
Thank you to Mrs Hannath for coming along to help and to all the parents who showed up to support our runners,
Today we announced our winners for our Garden Design Competition which had been completed by P6 and P7 pupils before half term.
We had 10 winners in total whose design ideas will be brought to life in our raised beds beside the gravel pitch - keep an eye out over the next few weeks to see what appears!
Well done to everyone who entered, the standard was very high and there were quite a few runners up who also got a small prize.
Check out these photos for the winning designs!
