Mr Forbes from Killicomaine JHS came to visit us today to talk about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). He told us how the street lights turn on and off, how traffic lights change colour automatically and how a remote control works! He then challenged us to build a bridge using 5 sheets of paper and some sellotape. The bridge was to be 25cm in length and hold as much weight as possible. It was great fun designing and building our bridges and we all made a bridge that fitted the set criteria.
Thank you Mr Forbes for coming to visit, for telling us about STEM and for setting us such a fun challenge.
