To my children and parents
It is with great sadness that we had to close our school for the foreseeable future, and even more sad it happened in such a short space of time. I never got to say goodbye to many of the children in my class. I never got to tell them how amazing they are, how proud I was to be their teacher, how hard they had worked this year towards the many assessments in P7 or to wish them all the best for their new school and the challenges and opportunities that will emerge.
My classroom this year has witnessed many laughs, and some tears. We have worked hard but had lots of fun. We have been challenged, but managed to overcome them. This will be case in the days to come, as we face an uncertain and troubling time. I am sure the children in my class will be able to overcome them, with the help of whoever is at home, and the help of each other.
I have set you all work to complete, in your own time, and sent home folders and a schedule. These need to be sorted into an order - it was all rather rushed to produce the documents! I will also post the NUMBERED NUMERACY WORKSHEETS on the website. The PROJECT WORK is a book, produced by yourself, about anything that might interest you - it could be Liverpool FC (or even Man Utd?), making cakes or coin collecting! It is your choice. Investigate the subject on the internet, print out information and add it to your project book.
During this period, take the time to learn to help around the house and learn a new skill or improve an old one - maybe learn to bake a cake or bread, play a musical instrument or fix your bike. To all my pupils, make use of the time available and listen to your elders, do what you are told and do everything with a smile. THIS WILL PASS.
Finally, may I also thank parents and carers for all the help and support this year.
Keep safe and healthy,
