We have had a very busy science week.
First we planted some beans and are amazed at how quickly they are growing. We also have some in the greenhouse we hope to take home soon.
Then we enjoyed a very exciting assembly with Frances from Almac.
Our key words were PREDICT and OBSERVE. We predicted what would happen if we added flowers to coloured water.
On Thursday we discussed solids, liquids and gases. We made oobleck and had lots of fun exploring how it was both a solid and a liquid. Then we made 'carbon dioxide' by mixing vinegar and baking soda.
To finish of our week we went litter picking around school with our P5/6 friends. We used a timer and had to predict how many pieces of litter we would collect in the 5 minutes. We picked up LOTS of litter.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
