Our trip to Portadown Library
Our class visited Portadown Library yesterday. We enjoyed learning about all the different services that the library offer. We had a tour of the library and saw what is available in the library. We saw the computers that are available for researching information, the study room for anyone who wishes to revise or work within the library, the large books with copies of old Portadown Times, the very large selection of books that are in different sections such as children's fiction and non-fiction and the machines that are used for registering the books you borrow or return. It was very interesting and informative as we learnt how books are ordered in the library so it is easy to find what you are looking for. We also heard about the online service for borrowing books and audiobooks. Before leaving the library, those with a library card were allowed to borrow a book. Thank you to the staff in Portadown Library for making the visit so enjoyable and encouraging the pupils to visit again.
