• Football Team Compete at Autumn Festival

  Well done to our football team who competed at today’s  tournament at Drumgor PS. The boys played very well and enjoyed the experience.  Bring on the next tournament!

  

• Nursery and Year 1 Primary Admissions 2024-25 Key Dates

  Nursery Open Day will be held on Monday 11^th December 1:30pm-2.30pm.

  The Principal would be pleased to organise a tour of the school facilities for prospective Year 1 parents at a mutually convenient time.

• Our Literacy Focus on Writing Partnerships

  This week each class will be working with their partner class to focus on their writing skills. The children in Key Stage 2 classes will model a genre of writing with their Key Stage 1 or Foundation Stage peers and then share their skills when writing a letter, poem, instructions, recipe ... • Cross country success at Portadown College

  A huge well done to all our cross country runners who took part in races organised by Portadown College A2 Level pupils. Special mention to the boys team who came second out of all the schools and to Alistair Leitch for winning the fun run. Thank you to Mrs Hannath for accompanying the runners to the race and helping to manage the teams.

  It was a very enjoyable morning and everyone should be very proud of their excellent running.

  Our next race will be at Lurgan Park in 2 weeks' time.

  

• Congratulations on Premier League Opportunity

  Everyone at Bocombra PS are delighted to hear about one of our Year 7 boys Ben who was successfully selected after a recent English Premier League soccer trial. As the youngest of the panel from Northern Ireland, it makes his achievement even greater.  Ben will now travel to join Manchester City to continue his Premier League dream.  We wish Ben all the best for the next stage in the selection process. 

  

• PTA tuckshop

  Today our PTA ran their first tuckshop of the year and the pupils enjoyed many sweet treats! We are looking forward the the next one on the last day of term before Christmas. Many thanks to our PTA volunteers for buying the stock and running the tuckshop today.

  Congratulations to our Ditch the Dark Day winners - the best dressed person from each class received a certificate and a prize. Well done to everyone for making such a fabulous effort in dressing up in their brightest clothes!

  

• Money Week poster winners

  Congratulations to the winners from last week's Money Week poster competition. The standard of entries was very high and it was a very difficult job to try and choose only one winner from each class. Well done to everyone who entered. The winning posters can be seen at the front of school.

  

• A muddy start to the Cross Country season at Portadown Rugby Club!

  Today was the first day of the Primary School Cross Country season and it kicked off in style at Portadown Rugby Club and it was a great success. We had quite a few runners who finished in the top 10, which was very impressive as there were nearly 30 schools competing.  All runners ran incredibly well in very tough conditions. Well done to everyone who took part and special congratulations to those pupils who ran their first race today.
