We were delighted to be able to have all children from Nursery to Year 7 along with all staff in the assembly hall who came together to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas. Some children from Year 5 narrated the Christmas story while our Year 7 musicians entertained us playing their festive pieces. It was also very special to be able to sing our Christmas carols together. Happy Christmas to everyone!
Congratulations to everyone who has been making active journeys to and from school and staying active throughout throughout December - as a school we managed an amazing total of 6753 miles so we definitely made it to the North Pole (and back again!) Thanks to Dave for giving us the journey cards and to School Council for all their hard work in counting up all the miles and ticks on the journey cards. Today we gave out the prizes to the winners from each class.
Our cross country team took part in a Santa Run against cross country runners from Seagoe Primary School at Chambers Park. It was very cold and the course was tough but all runners did exceptionally well and were presented with a special Santa medal from Santa himself.
A huge thank you to the adults and children who came to cheer the runners on and made very generous donations for the tea and coffee provided to the PrettynPink charity which totalled £58.
Children from Year 6 and 7 went to Lisnisky Care Home to sing Christmas carols and songs to the residents and staff. The children provided lots of Christmas cheer singing beautifully and the residents were very happy to see their Santa hats and smiling faces!
All prospective Nursery pupils for September and their parents are welcome to our Nursery on Monday 12th December 12.45-1.45pm. Please 'spread the word' to any family or friends who may be interested. Please use the car park on the Ballyhannon Road and the Nursery entrance if possible. Thank you
