• Pathways Project

  Both P5 classes came together to perform a very special concert for their parents and relatives. They were able to show off their musical skills and put on a marvellous performance. The music tutors, Mr McLean and Mr Bothwell were very proud of their efforts and thanked the parents for supporting their children in their musical endeavours this year.

  

• P6 Shannaghmore trip

  Group 1 had a super three days at Shannaghmore and Group 2 are now all safely settled in. The groups enjoyed the High ropes course this morning and this afternoon the new group went canoeing and bouldering. 

  Day 2 for Group 2 has been very busy and enjoyable. This morning half the group went bouldering and the other half canoed on Castlewellan Lake. After lunch everyone went to the maze and cycling at Castlewellan. Night line and a movie concluded the day. 

  

• NI Football Finals

  Well done to our football team who played in the NI finals today in Cookstown.  The boys played exceptionally well against some very strong teams and were unfortunate not to get through to the knockout stages.  Some great goals were scored and saved were made.  We are all very proud of the boys getting this far, well done!

  

• Swimming Champions 2016

  Congratulations to our triumphant Swimming Team who won the Large School's Swimming Gala on Thursday 19th May.  Well done to all our Year 6 and 7 pupils who performed brilliantly in all of the events to bring home the trophy.

  

• Rugby at Kingspan Stadium

  On Friday 13th May 12 twelve boys travelled to the Kingspan Stadium to play against Greenisland PS, Gracehill PS and Ballydown PS. They lost their first game by 1 try but won the other two games 3 - 1. Before their tournament started the Ulster team were training on the pitch so the team got to see some of their heroes at work. The boys were given a free pack lunch and goodie bag by the tournament sponsors and everyone enjoyed a great afternoon playing on such an important pitch!

  

• Well done to Adam our Spelling Bee Finalist

  Congratulations to Adam who competed today in the County Armagh Heats of the Eason's Spelling Bee Challenge.  Adam can now proudly count himself amongst the top 5 spellers in County Armagh - no mean feat! Well done Adam.

  

• Congratulations to Jessica!

  Congratulations to Jessica who recently competed in the UK Kung Fu Championships in Scotland - landing two very impressive medals! Well done Jessica!

  

• Football team through to NI finals

  Congratulations to our football team who managed to win the Mullen Cup today!!  This means the team now go through to the NI finals - never before have we got through to this stage.  Well done boys, a fantastic achievement!!

  

• Move In May

  We are going to be doing a lot of moving in May as you can guess by the title! Yesterday we launched our Morning Walk and managed to walk 4 laps around the school grounds before the bell went at 9am. We plan to do this every morning at 8.45am as we feel it gives our children a great start to the day. For those children arriving any later than 8.45am, they should leave their school bag in a safe place in the playground and they can then join in with the walkers. They will be able to collect their belongings at the end of the walk.

  We also launched our 'Move In May' competition with the best class out of P1 - 3 and P4 - 7 winning a very special class prize. We walked from Tiplers this morning as well and we will be doing this every Wednesday in May.

  

• Year 2 Shared Education Day

  We had a great day meeting new friends from Ballyoran today. We got to know their names and a little bit about them. We had to draw a picture of our partner. It was fun. We are looking forward to going to see them at their school next week.
