Covid Update 1: Monday 7th February 2022- Unfortunately over the weekend a number of our teaching staff have tested Covid positive. As sourcing teaching cover for missing staff is very difficult, we have now had to resort to sending classes home on a rota basis. We hope by rotating classes it may only be necessary for a class to be 'remote learning' for one day. Notice will be given after lunch of any class(es) likely to be impacted tomorrow. In the interim the school will be making every effort to minimise the disruption to our pupils and their families. Please accept my sincere apology for the inconvenience this will cause to you and your family. MD Vallelly
Positive Covid Case Notification- Year 2N/A, Year 4McQ, Year 5c and Year 6/7H Parent/Guardian: Please be advised that a postive Covid case(s) has been reported in your child's class. In best practice we would advise parents/guardians to give their children a one-off LFD test before returning to school the following day. If this test is positive then the child should stay at home as a confirmed case and isolate for the requisite number of days. The new rule of 5 days applies from 21/1/22 and children should be demonstarting a negative LFD test on both the 5th and 6th morning before returning to school. If you have any queries or concerns do not hesitate to contact our school office. Thank you for your continued cooperation and understanding. MD Vallelly
Covid Cluster Notification: Parents and Guardians of children in Year 1 Taylor and Year 4 McQuitty - Due to the rise in the number of positive Covid cases in Mrs Taylors Year 1 class and Mrs McQuitty's Year 4 class, the number recorded has now exceeded the PHA threshold number for a cluster. A letter provided by the PHA has been forwarded to parents with further details. Prior to sending pupils to school tomorrow (Friday 4th February) we would request that all families conduct a LFD test. This will help slow the spread of infection and keep school functioning as normally as possible. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. MD Vallelly
