Sustrans GOLD!
On Tuesday our School Council made a very impressive presentation as part of our application for a Sustrans Gold Award to Emma and Anne-Marie from Sustrans. They were able to confidently talk all about our incredible work with Active Travel throughout the whole school - from regular competitions to hosting our very popular Big Bocombra Breakfast. Emma and Anne-Marie were amazed at how much outstanding work has been going on in Bocombra in trying to encourage as many pupils as possible to make active journeys to school.
After seeing all our hard work, they were delighted to award us our Gold Award, which means we are now one of only 5 schools in the whole of Northern Ireland to have been awarded this very prestigious title. A huge thank you to all our parents and families who have been so supportive of all our active travel activities in Bocombra.
We will be holding a special day of celebration next Thursday to celebrate our Gold success and also our second Green Flag.
