The first group of our P6 arrived safe and sound today for their residential in Shannaghmore. The excitement was something to behold and lasted throughout the whole day! The energetic group enjoyed their first activity, "Scrambling" at Pigeon (mountain up the Mournes). We wriggled our way up the mountain under and over rocks. I'm glad to say everyone not only survived this tough task but also thoroughly enjoyed it! Smiles on faces as we headed back for our dinner. Fully fuelled and ready for our next activity we set off for our long scenic walk along Murlough Bay. The group loved exploring the dunes and scanning the beach for rocks, shells and the odd crab! After our refreshing seaside stroll we headed back to base for some supper and a well needed rest. An excellent first day had by all!
