On Thursday 16th April the Boy's hockey team travelled to Stormont Belfast to participate in this year's Pearson Cup. We had a tough start being narrowly beaten in our first two group matches but the boys bounced back with impressive wins against Ballyholme (3-2), Ballyclare (5-0) and Omagh County (5-0). We finished third in our group and progressed to the Plate. The boys continued their impressive form into the knockout rounds beating Rathmore and Kingspark convincingly. The final saw the boys come up against Ballyholme who they had faced before in the group stage. It was a tough, edgy game which eventually finished with Ballyholme wining 2-0. The boys were obviously devastated but were very proud of how well they played and the achievement of reaching the final of the plate.
A brilliant display from the boys, even when things were difficult, they grouped together and pushed themselves to silverware.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
