Local author Lynda Haffey visits Bocombra
We were delighted to welcome Lynda Haffey back to Bocombra to read her new book 'The Jolly Jug' as a treat before Christmas. Everyone in Year 3 to Year 7 thoroughly enjoyed listening to the story about different breeds of dogs, their personalities and the challenges they face finding their forever home. The lesson we can learn from the story is to just be ourselves and despite of our differences we will accepted by others. Well done to Joshua and Carson who won our school competition which Lynda kindly judged. They thought of titles for another book which could be written about animals. Joshua's idea was 'The Messy Monkey' and Carson's was 'Professor Duck and the Earth Quack'.
