Today our cross country team took part in their first team race this season (and our first cross country race since 2019!). Portadown College organised a fantastic morning of races and Bocombra team took part with great enthusiasm. Ethan (P7) came a very close second in the boys' competitive race - hampered only by a last minute fall at the finish line. Special mention to Poppy (P6) who came 4th in the girls' competitive race. Well done to all the competitors - you did Bocombra proud as you raced your hearts out around a very tough course!
A huge thankyou to the parents, grandparents and relatives who came out to cheer us on - it was wonderful to see some many excited faces watching us.
We are now very excited for our next event which is the NI Athletics Southern area race next Wednesday at Portadown Rugby Club.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
