Our Primary Six classes visited Portadown Library today and they learnt all about what services the library offers the public. They got a tour of the library, seeing the study area, the babies and young people book area, the quiet area for reading the newspapers and they even got to meet the Knit and Natter group! They learnt that joining the library is free and open to all age groups. Up to nine items can be borrowed at a time and Librarys NI have a free app called Libby which allows you to borrow nine more books or audiobooks! Lots of different clubs are also held in the library such as Rhythm and Rhyme for babies, book groups for adults and young people, craft clubs and even a Lego club! At the end of the visit pupils with a library card were able to borrow two books. Everyone enjoyed the trip and we wish to say thank you to all of the library staff for looking after us during our visit.
