Easy home made Pizza
If you’d like to try something fun and easy in the kitchen, why not make pizza? This recipe came from John Torode and his wife Lisa…and it is really easy, tasty and budget friendly too.
You need (for the base):
250g natural yogurt
250 SR flour
1 teasp baking powder
Pinch salt
Mix ingredients together in a bowl and divide into 4 pieces. Roll out onto a floured surface. Heat oven to as high a temperature as you can. Put base onto a floured tray and bake for 4 mins. When you take it out of the oven, turn it over and top with tomato sauce or pasta sauce. (I cheated and used a tomato and garlic ready made sauce!)
If you want to make your own tomato sauce:
1 tin tomatoes
1 onion
1 tablesp olive oil
Salt and Pepper
Start to cook onions in the oil. Add a splash of water and stir. Then add another splash of water and cook down. Season, add the tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes.
Top your pizza with whatever you have!
Some ideas:
mushrooms, ham, sweetcorn, chicken, pineapple, pepperoni, tomatoes, peppers…
cover with cheese and put back into the hot oven for 4 – 5 minutes
slice and eat. Enjoy 😊
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
