We made it! Last week was Week 10 of our Eco Schools Home Challenge as we approach the end to this school year. I am so very grateful to every single one of you who has taken the time to incorporate so many brilliant Eco activities into your time at home and participated with such enthusiasm. I have loved reading your emails and seeing your photos arrive into my inbox each week. I am so inspired by all your wonderful ideas and I am amazed at some of the fantastic activities that you have been taking part in. Every one of you deserves a huge pat on the back!
For the Green House, Elsie, Penny, Lottie, Jack and Zara have been looking after their plants, taking time to explore outside, planting, turning off switches and making some excellent posters. For the Red House, Rebekah and John made a really lovely message from glass and shells and Jonno was hard at work connecting a water butt to the guttering on his garden shed. Sarah earned points for the Blue House as she was so incredibly busy during the last week of term making a house out of a tree stump, reading her Eco managzine when she couldn’t get outside due to the rain and painting shells – fabulous work Sarah!
Week 10 totals:
Green = 50 Yellow = 0 Red = 30 Blue = 10
End of Eco Schools Home Competition totals:
Green = 430 Yellow = 340 Red = 290 Blue = 350
AND THE WINNERS ARE…… The Green House!!!! Well done to all the Greens for faithfully sending in emails and photos each week – it was a very close for a while there but the Greens stepped up in the last 2 weeks.
A very sincere thanks to all the parents and pupils for taking part in this Challenge over the last 10 weeks – your hard work has been very much appreciated. Have a wonderful summer break and I hope we get plenty of sunshine so you can continue with all your Eco activities outside over the next few weeks!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
