Positive Covid Case(s) Notification- Year 1F and Year 5C Parent/Guardian : Please be advised that a postive Covid-19 case(s) has been reported in your child’s class. In best practice we would advise parents/guardians to give their children a one-off LFD test before returning to school. If this test is positive then the child should stay at home as a confirmed case and isolate for the requisite number of days. The new rule of 5 days applies from 21/1/22 and children should be demonstarting a negative LFD test on both the 5th and 6th morning before returning to school. If you have any queries or concerns do not hesitate to contact our school office. Thank you for your continued cooperation and understanding. MD Vallelly
Covid Cluster Notification: Parents and Guardians of children in Year 1 Freeburn - Due to the rise in the number of positive Covid cases in Mrs Freeburn's Year 1 class, the number recorded has now exceeded the PHA threshold number for a cluster. A letter provided by the PHA has been forwarded to parents with further details. Prior to sending pupils to school tomorrow (Thursday 10th February) we would request that all families conduct a LFD test. This will help slow the spread of infection and keep school functioning as normally as possible. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. MD Vallelly

FAO: Year 1 Taylor and Year 1 Freeburn Parents/Guardians,
Unfortunately, due to large numbers of teaching staff absent due to Covid infection, I have had to make the difficult decision to ask all Year 1 pupils to remain at home on Tuesday 8th February, for one day only.
I have been unable to secure suitable teaching cover for a number of staff absences across the whole school and regrettably need to ask Year 1 to move to remote learning on Tuesday 8th February.
I apologise for the inevitable inconvenience this will cause you and your family. On-line learning activities can accessed on Mrs Taylors and Mrs Freeburns web pages.
Kind regards
MD Vallelly

Covid Update 2: Year 4 McQuitty Parent/Guardian- please be advised that due to staff absence this morning it will not be possible for Mrs McQuitty’s class to attend school today. I apologise for the short notice, but given the increased number of positive cases amongst staff over the weekend and shortage of substitute teachers, Year 4 McQ will move to remote learning today. Notice will be given later today about plans for tomorrow. Mrs McQuitty will make provision for learning activities on her class webpage for today. Again, please accept my apologies for the short notice of this class closure. MD Vallelly
