P7 have all safely arrived at Boreatton Park after a very smooth journey - "are we there yet?" was asked many times! We have already been playing lots of games and singing funny songs! Tonight we played flag games and enjoyed the sunshine. Robert shared a cake with his friends and we all sang 'Happy Birthday' to him. Everyone is settling into their dorms and getting ready for a good rest after a busy day!

We have had an action-packed day today enjoying abseiling, zipwire, trapeze and fencing. This afternoon we worked in our teams to plan and then build a raft before sailing it out onto a lake. It was great fun pushing the teachers in and getting wet and muddy! This evening we took part in a 'passport' game which was an orienteering challenge around the site. After lots of running around and having lots to do we will soon be heading towards bed to get a good rest before tomorrow's fun! Check out our new photos.

Everyone has had a great day today enjoying abseiling, giant swing, challenge course and fencing. Tonight's activities include team games with our groupie followed by a campfire! Both P5 classes came together to perform a very special concert for their parents and relatives. They were able to show off their musical skills and put on a marvellous performance. The music tutors, Mr McLean and Mr Bothwell were very proud of their efforts and thanked the parents for supporting their children in their musical endeavours this year.
Group 1 had a super three days at Shannaghmore and Group 2 are now all safely settled in. The groups enjoyed the High ropes course this morning and this afternoon the new group went canoeing and bouldering.
Day 2 for Group 2 has been very busy and enjoyable. This morning half the group went bouldering and the other half canoed on Castlewellan Lake. After lunch everyone went to the maze and cycling at Castlewellan. Night line and a movie concluded the day.
We are going to be doing a lot of moving in May as you can guess by the title! Yesterday we launched our Morning Walk and managed to walk 4 laps around the school grounds before the bell went at 9am. We plan to do this every morning at 8.45am as we feel it gives our children a great start to the day. For those children arriving any later than 8.45am, they should leave their school bag in a safe place in the playground and they can then join in with the walkers. They will be able to collect their belongings at the end of the walk.
We also launched our 'Move In May' competition with the best class out of P1 - 3 and P4 - 7 winning a very special class prize. We walked from Tiplers this morning as well and we will be doing this every Wednesday in May.
