Today was the first day of the Primary School Cross Country season and it kicked off in style at Portadown Rugby Club and it was a great success. We had quite a few runners who finished in the top 10, which was very impressive as there were nearly 30 schools competing. All runners ran incredibly well in very tough conditions. Well done to everyone who took part and special congratulations to those pupils who ran their first race today.
If you would like to look at the results, check out www.athleticsni.org/Results, results should be posted later this evening.
As part of our Walktober month, we organised a Walking Bus from Tiplers on Wednesday morning. Despite the storm warnings, we were joined by lots of parents and pupils who were able to park their cars and walk safely along the road to school. Thank you to those who supported us on the walk to school and special thanks to Tiplers for the use of their car park. We hope that this will encourage some more parents to try to implement the idea of parking close to school and walking the remainder of the way to school.
