Today we held our annual School Council elections and the speeches and voting took place in the Assembly Hall. There were 45 candidates who put themselves forward to be elected for their year group and each one spoke very well in front of their audience. There were some fantastic ideas proposed and the pupils had obviously worked hard when preparing their speeches. Thank you to everyone who took part and to those parents who helped them prepare.
Mrs Craig had a busy morning counting all the votes and once the votes were all counted and verified, the winning candidates were announced after lunch in each classroom.
Our new School Council are:
Year 5: Tami Black, Naomi Hunter, Carson Wright and Ted Taylor
Year 6: Amy McFarland, Penny Knipe, Will Breheny and Mikey Hannath
Year 7: Zara Cousins, Hannah Cromie, Harry Major and Theo Burnett
They will hold their first meeting next week and Mrs Craig is very excited about what the year ahead will hold for Bocombra with these brilliant pupils at the helm.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
